CHOCOLATE ICE BOX CAKE 
1 lg. family size pound cake
12 oz. pkg. chocolate chips
4 1/2 tbsp. hot water
6 eggs, separated
4 1/2 tsp. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
Whipped cream

Use 1 1/2 quart casserole. Line with wax paper. Thinly slice cake into 1/4" slices. Melt chocolate and water. Beat egg yolks and powdered sugar. Beat egg whites very stiff. Add a little chocolate mix to yolks then add that to the rest of chocolate. Fold this into egg whites and vanilla. Put cake slices on bottom and sides of dish. Layer chocolate and cake alternately. Finish with cake. Chill 8 hours. Turn onto plate and frost with whipped cream.
