TOP OF STOVE MEATLOAF 
2/3 lb. ground beef
1/4 c. rolled oats (or cracker crumbs)
2 tbsp. chopped onions
6 tbsp. milk
3/4 tsp. salt
Pepper, as desired
1/2 c. water
1 can tomato sauce

Put all ingredients (except water and tomato sauce) in a bowl; mix well. Shape into 4 loaves. Brown leaves on all sides in a greased fry pan over medium heat. Pour off fat. Add water. Pour tomato sauce over loaves. Cover and cook over low heat 30 minutes. Add more water during cooking, if needed.
