WHITE BREAD | |
1/2 stick butter 1/4 c. sugar 1 1/2 tbsp. salt 4 c. hot water (hottest tap water) 1/4 c. dry milk powder 2 pkgs. yeast 5-10 c. white flour In 8 quart large bowl, put butter, sugar, salt and hot water. Stir in 2 packages dry yeast. Add 1/4 cup milk powder. Add flour gradually. Knead well. Turn out on floured board. Let dough rise in warm place, about 2 hours. Grease bread pans. Divide dough into 3 loaves. Let it rise another 45 minutes or until double in bulk. 375 degrees, 45 minutes. |
