JAKE'S HOT WINGS WITH A TWIST
1 pkg. chicken wings, at room temp (40 to 60 count; I use Tyson)

SAUCE:

1 (12 oz.) bottle Louisiana hot sauce
1/4 cup pure honey
1/2 cup tightly packed brown sugar
seasoned salt, to taste (Lawry's)
garlic powder, to taste

Preheat oven to 375°F.

Combine all sauce ingredients in a medium sized saucepan. Bring to a rapid boil and slowly turn down heat and simmer for 3 minutes.

Note: You can add more brown sugar or honey to soften the spice but simmer about 1 minute longer for every 1/4 cup of sweetener.

Once simmering is done pour over wings on baking sheet and place in oven for about 20 to 25 minutes or to your liking.

Once baking is done let wings sit out for about 10 to 15 minutes before serving.

Optional Twist: Adding 1/2 cup of pineapple juice to the mixture right before pouring over wings adds a tangyness to it anyone would love. Plus the bromelain enzyme in the juice breaks down the meat so it falls right off the bone.

Enjoy!!
