WELSH TEA CAKES 
1/2 lb. butter
3 c. flour
1 c. white sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs, beaten
1 c. currants

Cream butter and sugar, stir in vanilla. Add flour and baking powder. Then add eggs and currants.

Roll out dough on a floured surface, cut into small circles.

Bake on flat pan on stove or griddle using low heat until light brown, turn and do other side.

If you wish, roll in sugar and cinnamon.
