2 c. flour 2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar 1 tsp. nutmeg 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 c. butter 1 c. sugar 1 egg 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 c. currants or raisins 2 tbsp. milk In a large mixing bowl; sift together dry ingredients. Cut butter into flour mix, using pastry blender. Add remaining ingredients; stir or work by hand until mixture holds together in a ball. Pat into 8 x 8 inch greased pan. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven 30 minutes or until done. |
