WELSH APPLE CAKE 
8 oz. self rising flour
8 oz. butter
5 oz. sugar
8 oz. sliced cooking apples
1 egg
1/4 tsp. salt
Milk to mix

Sift flour and salt together. Cut in butter until consistency of bread crumbs. Stir in sugar and work in finely diced apples. Beat egg lightly and add with enough milk to make a stiff dough. Roll out thinly and cut into squares. Bake in electric fry pan at 350 degrees turning when lightly browned and serve sprinkled with sugar.
