FRUIT CAKE COOKIES 
1 lb. dates or raisins
1 lb. brown sugar
1 lb. butter
1 lb. candied cherries
3 lb. chopped nuts
3 tbsp. can milk
1 tsp. baking soda
5 1/2 c. self-rising flour
4 eggs, beaten

Cream sugar and butter. Add milk, soda and eggs. Mix nuts, fruit and flour. Add to creamed mixture. Mix well with hand. Using teaspoon drop small amount on cookie sheet. Bake at 325 degrees until done, 20-25 minutes.
