PRUNE BREAD 
12 oz. pitted prunes
2 c. sugar
3/4 c. butter
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cloves
1 c. walnuts
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 eggs

Chop and soak prunes. Save water from prunes. Add additional water as needed to make 2 cups. Cook prunes, water, butter, sugar, spices and salt for 5 minutes. Cool. Sift dry ingredients. Add eggs to cooled mixture. Add dry ingredients. Bake in 2 greased 9x5 loaf pans for 1 hour and 15 minutes at 350 degrees.
