PRUNE BREAD (ORIGINAL RECIPE) 
1 1/2 tbsp. shortening (not oil)
1 egg
1/2 tsp. salt
2 2/3 tbsp. milk
2 (2.5 oz.) jars Gerber "First Foods" prunes
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. flour
1 tbsp. molasses
3/4 tsp. baking soda

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream shortening and sugar. Add egg and beat well. Sift together flour and salt. Add molasses and soda to milk. Add flour and milk mixtures alternately to egg mixture, starting and ending with flour mixture. Beat after each addition until smooth. Add prunes to batter and stir well to blend. Bake in greased and floured 7 1/2" x 3 1/2" x 2 1/2" loaf pans for 55 minutes at 350 degrees or until done.
