VINCENT PRICE'S PRUNE BREAD 
1 egg
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. boiling water
1 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. chopped prunes
1/2 c. honey
2/3 c. sugar
Chopped walnut meats

Beat egg; add vanilla, baking soda, prunes, and water. Cover and let stand 20 minutes; then add honey. Sift flour and sugar. Add to prune mixture and walnuts. Blend well. Pour into greased and floured pan, 13 x 4 x 2 inch. Bake 1 hour or until done. Let stand 10 minutes. Remove from pan and cool thoroughly before serving.
