TEXAS RANGER COOKIES 
1 c. shortening
1 c. sugar (white)
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
2 c. corn flakes
2 c. minute oats
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. coconut
1 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream shortening, white sugar and brown sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Add dry ingredients, will be hard to mix, but worth it. Drop by spoonful on cookie sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for 12-15 minutes. Let cool slightly before removing from cookie sheet.
