FRENCH TOAST WITH CINNAMON SYRUP 
4 lg. eggs
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. sugar
1 c. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1 loaf French bread (1 day old)

SYRUP:

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. light corn syrup
1/4 c. water
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. evaporated milk

Preheat oven to 275 degrees. Whisk together all ingredients except bread. Slice bread about 5/8 inch thick. Soak well in beaten mixture. Pan fry until lightly browned on both sides. Place on cookie sheet and bake in oven until puffed, about 5 minutes.

SYRUP: Bring all ingredients except milk to a boil. Boil 2-3 minutes. Cool 5 minutes. Add evaporated milk. Serve hot over warm French Toast.
