6 c. chicken broth 1 can (small) tomato paste 1 onion, chopped 1 stalk celery, chopped 1 clove garlic crushed 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. chili powder 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. paprika 1/2 tsp. black pepper 1/2 tsp. oregano 1/2 tsp. cumin 1/4 tsp. allspice 1/4 tsp. nutmeg 1/4 tsp. cloves 1 bay leaf 1 1/2 lbs. ground turkey or beef Combine broth, tomato paste, onion, celery, garlic and seasoning in large pot; bring to a simmer over medium heat. Stir occasionally. Crumble raw turkey into mixture. Bring to simmer. Reduce heat and cook on low heat for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. I usually double recipe and add flour to thicken. Serve over pasta. We like spaghetti |
