SWEET AND SOUR PORK 
1 1/2 lb. pork steak, cubed
1 (1 lb. 4 oz.) can pineapple chunks, reserve juice
1/4 c. brown sugar
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 c. water
1 green pepper, sliced thin
1/2 c. onion
1 can sliced water chestnuts; optional
1/4 c. vinegar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. soy sauce

In an electric fry pan or skillet, brown meat. Remove meat. In pan, add pineapple juice, vinegar, soy sauce; add brown sugar and salt. Stir and thick with water and cornstarch mixture, stirring until thickened. Add meat, cook over low for approximately 30 minutes. Add green pepper and onions. Cook 3-5 minutes. Add pineapple cook 2 minutes. Serve over rice.
