GRAHAM CRACKERS | |
2 c. flour 2 c. graham or whole wheat flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. ground ginger 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 c. light brown sugar 1/2 c. (1 stick) butter 1/2 c. honey 1/2 c. warm water Combine first 6 ingredients in bowl. In a small bowl, combine butter, honey and water. Heat 20 seconds in microwave. Mix into flour mixture well. Knead into ball. Grease 2 baking sheets. Divide dough in half. Roll out each half very thin, to make a 6 x 9 inch rectangle. With a very sharp knife cut dough into 3-inch squares. Do no separate, score a line down the center with a fork. Bake at 350 degrees until edges are golden and center firm. Cool completely. Store in airtight container. Makes 12 (3 inch) crackers. |
