“BLT LOADED TATER TOTS” IS IN:

BLT LOADED TATER TOTS
1 (28 oz.) bag frozen Ore Ida Extra-Crispy Tater Tots
6 center-cut bacon slices
1 (8 oz.) pkg. shredded Colby-Jack cheese
2 medium Roma tomatoes, sliced and cut into small pieces
1 cup shredded Iceberg lettuce
1/2 to 3/4 cup Ranch or Spicy Ranch dressing

Bake tater tots according to package directions.

Cook bacon slices crisp and place on a paper towel-lined plate to absorb excess grease. Coarsely crumble bacon; cover with foil and keep warm.

Sprinkle tater tots with shredded cheese during last few minutes of cooking time.

Using a wide spatula, carefully transfer tater tots to a serving platter or shallow serving bowl. Drizzle with half of the Ranch or Spicy Ranch dressing. Sprinkle evenly with the chopped tomatoes, shredded lettuce, and bacon crumbles. Drizzle with remaining dressing.

Serve immediately and enjoy!

Would give this a 10 if possible. It is outstanding. Local cafe serves this for breakfast as "loaded potatoes" - but adds fine diced green pepper & fine diced onion - which I did. Thank you so much Carol for submitting this. Had no idea how the layering went. Have been watching & writing majority of your recipes. PLEASE... keep sending them in.

Yum! Never thought of having them for breakfast. Glad you are enjoying the recipes... have you considered copying and pasting them into a program such as notepad or LibreOffice? It would save a lot of writing time, though handwritten recipes are nice to have, too.

Carol - am handwriting on large index cards to also be used (hopefully) by my grand daughter some day. Thankfully - she is young - but LOVE'S to cook Have now filled two large box's - which she always checks out - with each visit. Always write your name on bottom of every submission I have copied of yours. She is also aware of Cooks.com - and now knows to check out your submissions.

Aww, that is so nice. There is nothing like handwritten recipes to be shared, especially with family members. When my mom passed on a few years ago, one of the best treasures I received was her box of handwritten recipes. I believe some of them though, and even the box itself, actually belonged to my grandmother, as it looks quite old (is even rusted along the edges) and the recipes well-used--I certainly recognized her wonderful Christmas cookies, as well as a few others. I will post some here as I try them... I made one a while back that was titled "Mom's Meat Loaf" that had steak sauce in it, and the taste of it was overwhelming--it surely wasn't the fabulous meatloaf my mom had always made, and I don't recall my grandmother ever having made it, either. Lol Not sure what happened there, but there are still lots more to be tried, and I will look through them again soon and share any that I KNOW to be good, like Grandma's "Walnut Balls". Have a great day! :-)
