MEAT BALLS WITH SPAGHETTI (A SKILLET MEAL) | |
1 lb. ground beef 1 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 3 tbsp. fat 1/2 c. chopped onion 1 garlic bud, chopped 1/2 c. chopped green pepper 1 c. chopped celery 3 c. tomatoes 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 tsp. salt 1/2 box fine spaghetti, uncooked (4 oz.) Parmesan cheese Season meat with salt and pepper and form into balls about 1 inch in diameter. Brown meat balls in hot fat on medium heat. Add onion, garlic, green pepper, celery, tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce, and salt. Bring to steaming point. Add the spaghetti, pressing down well into the tomato mixture. Cover. Cook on high heat until steaming, then turn to low heat or simmer and cook 30 minutes. Serve with Parmesan cheese. |
