HAMBURGER SAUSAGE | |
5 lbs. ground beef (cheapest) 2 1/2 tsp. coarse ground pepper 2 1/2 tsp. mustard seed 3 tsp. garlic salt 5 tsp. quick salt 2 1/2 tsp. smoked salt OR 2 1/2 tsp. salt and 1 tsp. liquid smoke Mix all ingredients together very well with hands. Cover and refrigerate 24 hours. Mix again and refrigerate another 24 hours. Divide into 4 parts. Roll each in oblong roll; place on broiler pan (rack and pan) and bake at 175 degrees 6 1/2 hours. Keep a piece of foil loosely over top. Cool and wrap rolls in foil. Can be frozen. Slice to eat. Tastes like thuringer. |
