DUTCH WIENER SOUP | |
1 green pepper 1 pkg. (any kind) wieners 6 or 7 lg. white potatoes 1/2 sm. onion 1/4 tsp. salt 2 pt. milk (skim or homogenized) 1/2 c. flour mixed with milk Small dab of butter Use large cooking pot. Dice potatoes and boil with onion and salt. When potatoes are almost done, add wieners that have been cut in small round. Add green pepper (diced). Bring to boil again and add milk. Stir well and slowly add flour and milk mixture. Add butter and keep stirring until begins to thicken. The more you re-heat, the better it becomes. Simmer 15 minutes. Serves six. |
