GERMAN COFFEE CAKE 
4 apples, pared & slice
1/2 c. chopped nuts
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
5 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
3 c. flour
1 c. oil
1/4 c. juice (orange or pineapple)
2 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Mix together apples, 5 tablespoons sugar, cinnamon and nuts. Set aside.

Combine and beat until smooth, all of the remaining ingredients. Pour half of the batter into a greased tube pan. Add half of the apple mixture. Pour in the remaining batter. Top with the remaining apples on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
