GERMAN ALMOND COFFEE CAKE | |
2/3 c. sugar 2/3 c. butter 2 tbsp. milk 1 c. slivered almonds 1/2 tsp. almond extract Heat in saucepan. Boil one minute, stirring constantly. Cool. CAKE: 1 carton (12 oz.) cottage cheese 2/3 c. milk 1 tsp. almond extract 2 eggs 1 pkg. white cake mix Combine all ingredients, mixing just until moistened. Pour into greased and floured 9 x 13 inch pan. Spread cooled topping over batter. Bake 35 to 45 minutes in a 350 degree oven. |
