NEW ENGLAND BOILED BEEF 
1 recipe Simmered Corned Beef (above)
2 lg. potatoes, cut up
4 med. carrots, cut lengthwise
1 med. head cabbage, cut in 6 wedges

Microwave corned beef as described above. Remove meat from broth and keep warm. Add potatoes and carrots to broth. Arrange cabbage in a pinwheel on top. Cover. Microwave at High 25 to 30 minutes, rearrange after 15 minutes, until vegetables are tender. Discard bay leaves. To serve, diagonally slice corned beef very thin and serve with vegetables. Makes 6 servings.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
