2 gal. cucumbers 1 gal. boiling water 1 c. salt boiled in water Pour salt boiled in water over cucumbers and let stand 7 days. The 8th day morning pour off brine. Put a lump of alum size of a hickory nut in 1 gallon boiling water. Pour over pickles. Let stand overnight, pour off. Pour 1 gallon plain boiled water over pickles, let stand overnight. | |
