OATMEAL MUFFINS 
1 c. oatmeal
1 c. sour milk
1/3 c. shortening
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt

Soak oatmeal in sour milk, one hour; cream together sugar and shortening and mix into creamed mixture. Sift together dry ingredients. Mix into creamed mixture. Fill greased muffin tins 2/3 full. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes, top lightly browned.
