LEMON POUND CAKE 
3 c. sugar
1/3 c. oil
1 1/2 sticks butter
2 level tsp. baking powder
3 c. plain flour
2 oz. bottle lemon extract
1 to 1 1/2 c. milk (Dale uses 1 1/2)
5 eggs

Beat and add ingredients in order called for. Beat butter, oil and eggs until really fluffy. Sift flour and baking powder together. Add flour, milk and sugar to first mixture and beat 1 minute. Beat in the lemon extract.

Bake at 350 degrees in a greased and floured tube pan (or a Pam-sprayed non-stick pan) for 1 hour and 10 minutes. (May need to bake a little longer.) Test doneness with a toothpick.
