LEMON POUND CAKE 
1/2 lb. butter (2 sticks)
3 c. sugar
6 eggs
3 c. plain flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 pt. sour cream
2 tsp. lemon flavoring
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter and sugar until fluffy, add 3 of the eggs, one at a time beating well after each. Sift flour, soda and salt alternately with the other 3 eggs. Fold in sour cream and flavorings. Start in a cold oven at 325 degrees. Do not open oven for first hour. You may peep after the first hour. Cook for 1 1/4 hours. Grease cake pan and sprinkle with flour.

LEMON DRIP FOR CAKE:

Melt 1/2 stick of butter. Grate rind of 1 lemon and juice of 1 lemon. Mix butter and juice well with 1/2 box of powdered sugar. Put on cake while warm.
