“BECHAMEL SAUCE” IS IN:

BECHAMEL SAUCE 
3 tablespoons butter
4 tablespoons flour
1 cup broth
salt, pepper, seasonings (see below)
3/4 cup milk or cream

Blend butter with flour. Add hot meat or vegetable broth, or 1 bouillon cube, or 1 teaspoon soup base in 1 cup boiling water.

Season with salt, pepper and paprika, and add milk or cream. Optionally add garlic or onion powder, to taste and/or chopped fresh parsley or thyme.

Cook in metal bowl over boiling water or in a double boiler until thick and smooth.

Note: This can be made in a microwave, stirring often. If made in a Vitamix blender, blend until steaming hot then an additional 5 minutes.
