OKRA CASSEROLE | |
1 can whole kernel corn About 1 pt. cut up okra 1 ripe tomato, chopped 4 or 5 slices bacon, fried crisp 1/2 onion, chopped 1 tbsp. sugar 1 tbsp. cornstarch Drain grease off bacon. Reserve grease and put in a skillet with chopped onion. Fry until onion is done, then add other ingredients except cornstarch and sugar. Cook until done, about 15 or 20 minutes. Then add sugar and cornstarch; simmer for 10 minutes until blended. |
