PERFECT APPLE PIE 
5 c. flour
2 c. shortening
2 eggs
Enough water added to eggs to make 1 cup
2 tsp. salt
6 to 8 apples, sliced
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 to 3/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
Butter

Blend 5 cups flour, shortening and 2 teaspoons salt for crust. Add eggs and water. This makes crust for 3 to 4 pies.

For filling mix 2 tablespoons flour, sugar, 1/2 teaspoon salt and cinnamon. Put half of apples in pie shell, then half of sugar mixture, then remaining apples and remaining sugar mixture.

Dot with butter. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes then at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes.
