CHOCOLATE CREAM CHEESE CAKE 
CAKE:

2/3 c. butter, softened
1 2/3 c. sugar
3 eggs
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. unsifted flour
2/3 c. cocoa
1 1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 1/3 c. milk
1 1/4 tsp. baking soda

Cream butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla in large mixer bowl until light and fluffy. Combine flour, cocoa and baking soda and baking powder; add alternately with milk to creamed mixture, blending just until combined. Pour into greased and floured 9"x13" pan (or 2 - 9" layer pans).

FILLING:

1/3 c. sugar
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1 c. finely chopped nuts
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1 c. semi sweet chocolate chips

In small bowl, beat 1/3 cup sugar, cream cheese, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla and egg until fluffy. Stir in nuts (and chocolate chips). Spoon tablespoons of filling evenly over batter.

Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 55 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool completely. Can frost cake or drizzle melted chocolate over cake.
