APPLE PIE, DUTCH 
4 c. apples, cut in slices
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. flour
1/4 c. butter
1/4 c. grated store cheese
1/3 c. sugar
Pastry for 1 9-inch pie

Cook filling (apples, sugar, and cinnamon) until about half done. Cool the mixture and place in pastry lined pie plate.

Make coarse crumbs of flour, butter, cheese, and sugar. Scatter thickly over the filled pie. Bake 10 minutes at 450 degrees and then at 350 degrees until apples are cooked and topping browned.
