HOT LEMON SAUCE 
1/2 c. sugar
4 tsp. cornstarch
Dash of salt
Dash of nutmeg
1 c. water
2 beaten egg yolks
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. grated lemon peel
2 tbsp. lemon juice

Mix sugar, cornstarch, salt, and nutmeg. Gradually stir in water. Cook and stir over low heat until thick and bubbly. Stir a little of this hot mixture into beaten egg yolks. Return to hot mixture. Cook and stir for one minute. Remove from heat and add butter, lemon peel, and lemon juice. Blend well.
