MICROWAVE LEMON SAUCE
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. water, at room temp.
2 tbsp. butter
1 1/2 tsp. lemon juice
Dash salt

In a deep 1 quart, heat-resistant, non-metallic casserole combine sugar and cornstarch. Gradually stir in water. Heat uncovered on full power 3 to 4 minutes or until sauce has thickened and is smooth. Stir occasionally.

Add butter, lemon juice and salt. Serve warm or cold. Great over cake or ice cream.

Makes 1 cup.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
