BLUEBERRY BREAD 
3 c. flour
1 c. sugar
4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 egg
1/4 c. shortening, melted
1 1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
1 c. blueberries

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour 1 (9 x 5 inch) loaf pan. Mix dry ingredients together. Add egg, shortening, milk, and vanilla. Stir until moistened. Add blueberries and nuts. Pour batter into pan. Bake approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.
