1 lb. box confectioners sugar
1 stick butter
8 tbsp. peanut butter
6 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Put sugar into a deep, heavy mixing bowl. Add 6 tablespoons milk and vanilla. Set aside.

Melt butter and peanut butter in saucepan, stirring constantly. Pour melted mixture into sugar mixture. Mix well. Spread into buttered square dish. (Nuts are optional.) Refrigerate until hard, cut into squares.

NOTE: If you would like chocolate fudge you may melt one large Baker's semi-sweet chocolate bar with butter instead of peanut butter (nuts optional).
