SHONEY'S PIE 
3/4 c. sugar
1 c. water
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 pkg. strawberry Jello
2 or 3 drops red food coloring
1 1/2 qt. strawberries

Combine sugar, salt, cornstarch and water in saucepan. Cook on medium heat until clear and thick. Remove from heat and stir in Jello. Cool. Place whole strawberries in baked pie shell. Pour Jello mixture over strawberries; chill. Top with whipped cream or Cool Whip and serve.
