SHONEY'S STRAWBERRY PIE 
1 1/2 c. sugar (regular 8-inch pie, use 1 c.)
4 tbsp. cornstarch (regular 8-inch pie, use 3 tbsp.)
Dash of salt
1 1/2 c. boiling water (regular 8-inch pie, use 1 c.)

Boil until thick and clear. Let cool. Add: Little red food coloring (regular 8-inch pie, use 3 tbsp.)

Place berries on bottom of baked pie crust. Spoon mixture over berries; set until jelled. Cover with whipped cream.
