LEMON NUT BREAD | |
6 tbsp. shortening (Crisco) 1 c. sugar 2 beaten eggs 1 1/2 c. flour 1/2 c. chopped nuts 1 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. salt 1/2 c. milk Grated rind of 1 lemon GLAZE: Lemon juice of 1 lemon 1/2 c. granulated sugar Cream shortening and sugar. Add other ingredients and mix by hand. Pour into 2 small or 1 large loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 55-60 minutes. Mix glaze and pour over cake immediately after baking. |
