COCONUT TOP CAKE 
1 egg
1 3/4 c. flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
2/3 c. milk
1/4 tsp. salt
1/3 c. butter
1 c. sugar

Cream together butter and sugar. Add egg and beat. Combine dry ingredients and add alternately with milk. Pour in greased 8 x 8 inch or 9 x 9 inch pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 25 to 35 minutes.

TOPPING:

2 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. cream
5 tbsp. brown sugar
1/2 c. coconut

Combine topping ingredients. Spread on top of hot cake. Put under broiler for 5 minutes or until bubbly.
