CORN STEW 
1 hen
3 tomatoes
7 pods young tender okra
1 1/2 to 2 qt. fresh corn, cut off cob

One hen boiled tender; cool and take off bone and cut in bite-size pieces. One (2 x 2 inch) piece of side meat, dried and fried until brown, 3 tomatoes about size of medium apple, peeled and quartered; 7 pods of young tender okra, cut - put all ingredients in chicken broth (about 3 quarts) using meat drippings. Cook and season to taste. Stir frequently to keep from sticking. This should be fairly thick. Corn is the main ingredient in this stew.
