HONEY FRENCH BREAD 
1-1 1/2 env. yeast
1/2 c. lukewarm water
2 c. milk
2 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. honey
1 tsp. salt
5 c. flour

Mix yeast with water. Heat milk until lukewarm and add butter, honey and salt. When butter is melted, add the yeast mixture and then mix in 5 cups flour gradually. Knead until the dough is smooth.

Place dough in bowl, cover and let rise in a warm place for about 2 hours or until double in bulk. Punch down and let rise again for 45 minutes. Knead again, divide into 3 parts and shape into loaves. Bake in greased 4 x 8 inch pans in a 400 degree oven until crisp and golden. (Before baking brush with milk.)
