STARTER: 1 c. flour 1 c. milk 1 c. sugar DAYS 2, 3, 4: Stir with spoon. DAY 5: Pour into larger container and add 1 cup each flour, sugar, milk. DAYS 6, 7: Stir. DAYS 8, 9: Do nothing. DAY 10: Add 1 cup each flour, sugar, milk. Stir, then separate starter by putting 1 cup each into 3 containers and give to 3 friends. To remaining starter, add: 2 c. flour 1 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder 3 eggs 2 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. salt Nuts (optional) Raisins (optional) Pour into greased loaf pan, bake at 350 degrees for 45-60 minutes. |
