CLAM DIP IN BREAD BASKET 
1 uncut loaf Sheepherder bread
3 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese (softened)
3 cans minced clams, drained saving 2/3 c. of juice
Chopped chives
7 to 8 drops Tabasco sauce
1 tsp. lemon juice

Cut lid off of bread loaf; set aside. Pull bite size pieces out of loaf and save. You should have a hollow loaf. Cream remaining ingredients together and spoon into loaf. Put top back on. Wrap in aluminum foil.

Bake for 5 hours at 150 degrees or before putting filling in, microwave filling until slightly hot. Put filling in loaf, cover with top, wrap in foil, and bake 1 to 2 hours at 250 degrees.

Serve with bread pieces and crackers.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
