ITALIAN SAUSAGE STEW 
1 - 1 1/2 lbs. sweet or hot Italian sausage
1 (28 oz.) can whole tomatoes
1 onion, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
1/2 lb. mushrooms, sliced
1 tbsp. sugar
2 pkgs. Italian green beans
1-2 c. water

Put all ingredients in large Dutch oven. Bring to a boil. Lower heat. Simmer 1-2 hours. Add salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with Parmesan cheese. Serve with Italian bread and butter. 4-6 servings.
