CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES
1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. (1 1/2 sticks) butter
2 large eggs
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
1 c. Rice Krispies
1 c. coconut
1 c. oatmeal

In a small bowl combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

In a large bowl, beat butter and sugars with a mixer until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Beat in flour mixture until blended. Stir in rest of the ingredients. Drop dough by tablespoon, 2-inches apart.

Bake 6 to 8 minutes at 325 to 350°F until lightly golden and edges look crisp. Don't overcook. Cool 2 minutes with pan on wire rack.

Makes 4 1/2 to 5 dozen cookies.

Variation: You may use other chips or a mixture of chips. If you have no chips on hand, raisins with 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon is good also.
