SOUR CREAM POUND CAKE 
1/2 lb. butter
3 c. sugar
1 c. (8 oz.) sour cream
3 c. plain flour (sift 3 times)
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
6 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. lemon flavoring

Cream butter and sugar thoroughly. Add eggs, one at a time and beat. Beat at medium speed with electric mixer 2 minutes. Add flavorings and stir. Sift dry ingredients together; add to creamed mixture alternately with sour cream.

Beat 3 minutes at medium speed. Do not overbeat. Bake in a greased and floured tube pan in a preheated 300 degree oven for 1 1/2 hours.
