BUTTERNUT POUND CAKE | |
1 c. shortening 1/2 c. butter 2 1/2 c. sugar 4 eggs 3 1/2 c. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 c. buttermilk 1 tbsp. butter and nuts flavoring Cream shortening, butter, and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each. Alternate flour mixed with salt and soda; add buttermilk mixed with extract. Bake at 325 degrees for about 1 hour and 25 minutes in greased and floured tube cake pan. |
