POPCORN BALLS 
4 qts. of popcorn, popped
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. white Karo syrup
1 level tsp. cream of tartar

Boil syrup, sugar and cream of tartar until it forms ball in cool water. It takes little boiling. Remove from heat and add 3 tablespoons of butter and 1/4 teaspoon baking soda and boil up. Pour over popcorn, stir and form into balls. (Butter on your hands will make it easier to form the balls.)
