SWEET AND SOUR STUFFED CABBAGE 
1 head cabbage
3 lbs. ground beef
2 sm. cans tomato sauce
2 cans tomato soup
2 apples
2 onions
3 tbsp. rice
1 egg
2/3 c. dark raisins
2 tbsp. dark brown sugar
Juice of 1/2 lemon
Water or seltzer

Cut out core of cabbage. Boil cabbage in water to soften and remove leaves as carefully as possible, trying not to tear. To meat add salt and pepper, rice, 1 egg and a splash of water or seltzer. Roll mixture in cabbage leaves.

For sauce combine tomato soup and sauce. Rinse cans with water and add to sauce. Peel and dice both apples and onions and add to sauce. Add raisins, sugar and lemon. Put cabbage rolls in sauce. Cover and cook over low heat on stove for 2 hours.
